VFW Post 423 Auxiliary members purchased a memorial brick  in honor of past Auxiliary member Brett Horsch, and past VFW member Michael Horsch. The brick will be part of a permanent display at the VFW National Home, and is scheduled to be installed in the spring.

 

Brett passed away April 2, 2022 at the age of 30 after a battle with cancer. He was very involved with the Post Auxiliary group and loved serving Michigan's veteran and family community. You can read more about Brett here.

 

Brett's father, retired U.S. Army Maj. Michael Horsch, passed away July 29, 2023. Michael was a decorated Vietnam combat veteran and was very involved with Post 423. A staple of pride for Michael was his involvement in acquiring the UH-1H helicopter static display outside the Post. He was also a Past Post Commander. You can read more about Michael here.
